A Vision Brought to Life
Kids’ Zone was the vision of Donna Brown. She was a master teacher who had a passion for educating children. Her motto was, “You must win the child’s heart, before you win their mind.” She taught for 25 years in public school before she began the Kids’ Zone Private School. Donna wanted to offer an alternative to public school where she could fulfill her passion for teaching and spread the love of Christ.
The Kids’ Zone Private School began with kindergarten and only had 12 students enrolled the first year. Donna’s motto was, “If you build it, they will come.” The private school has steadily grown ever since.
Donna’s daughter, McKenzie, taught alongside her for a couple of years and helped carry on her mom’s dream when she was no longer able to teach. Our head of the private school, Dani, was also an aid for Donna for a few years. Dani completed her student teaching under Donna.
Since the opening of the Kids’ Zone Private School, the school has grown to enroll over one hundred students in the upcoming year! Without a doubt, due to the excellence of the amazing private school staff, Donna is looking down on us and so proud of the success of the private school and the number of students it has ministered to over the years.
